Hi Friends! We just got back from a four day jam-packed trip to New England and have sooo much to share with y'all. This was our first trip to the North East, and we loved it! In this newsletter, I'll share our entire itinerary along with rankings of restaurants and hotels.
Please note- these are our personal opinions based on our experiences.Â

Day 1

Travel Day
DFW - BOSTON
Arrived around 12 & drove to Salem, MA
We had lunch at Witchside Tavern (7/10) & coffee at Jaho (5/10)
This was not somewhere we originally planned to visit, but since everyone recommended it, we stopped in. It unfortunately just wasn't our vibe & due to the insane traffic, it messed up the rest of our travel plans. We wanted to see Portsmouth, NH instead but had to skip due to time.Â

Omni Mount Washington
12/10
I booked our room in the Presidential Wing & it was absolutely stunning. From the 10ft ceilings, to the large balcony that faced the mountains, to the soaking tub, this room was amazing!! The entire resort was so cool. I wouldn't have changed a thing! Note- you do need reservations for dinner at the hotel restaurants, so book in advance. We had drinks at 1902 and then dinner at Stickney's (8.5/10)
Day 2

Morning
We spent most of our morning at The Omni Mount Washington just touring the grounds and taking tons of photos. There is a free breakfast lounge if you stay in the Presidential side of the hotel (these are pricey rooms but so worth it). We had lunch at Stickney's on the patio which is the lower level of the circle area in the photo above. After lunch we headed to North Conway, NH which is about a 45min drive.

Silver Cascade
We stopped off on the side of the road to see this beautiful waterfall. I did the smallest hike to get close to it which felt awesome, but on my way back down, I rolled my ankle and fell. That made me realize that I didn't actually want any part of hiking in the mountains of NH & we skipped all previously planned hikes.Â
North Conway
Zeb's General Store
This was the cutest little shop I have ever been in. There were tons of local items. We grabbed some jams & jelly's and I had to have a slice of peanut butter chocolate fudge.
Â
 The Olive Oil Company
This little store had TONS of different olive oils and we were able to taste as many as we wanted. The worker was very kind and paired a bunch of them for us to try. We 100% would have brought some home if I wasn't scared they would bust in our suitcase. Note- don't drink the entire taster (trust me)
Â
Frontside Coffee
This was the best coffee we had of the entire trip! Highly recommend 12/10.
Â
Saco River Brewing
We got a flight of beer to try at this cute little brewery/restaurant right on the main strip in town. I'm not a big craft beer person, but Shane gave this place an 8/10 rating.Â
Â
Delaney's Hole In The Wall
One of the most recommended dinner places. We did have to wait about 45 min to get in and it was pretty cold outside, but sooo worth it! Dinner was absolutely fantastic. Shane and I both got very unique salads and loved them so much!
Day 3

Checked Out
Â
We wanted to see more of NH, so we planned to start to head south from the Omni on Day 3 and it was honestly awful. If I could redo this day, I would have gone to Woodstock, VT and stayed one night there instead of what we did.Â

Drove Forever
Â
We left the hotel & went to the Oktoberfest in Lincoln, NH which was a bust- 2/10. Then we drove the Kancamangus highway just to say we did and it was big disappointment. We were there past peak and honestly this road didn't look any different than other places we had already driven but it was extremely busy. We did stop on the side of the road somewhere in the middle of NH and bought some jelly & a whoopie pie.Â

The Breeze By The Bay
Once we finally made it to Meredith, NH (our destination for Day 3), we had lunch. We absolutely loved this restaurant. It was actually their 1st anniversary of being open, and they were having a party to celebrate. We had a very short weight time and they food was delicious. 10/10

Moulton Farms
Â
I was most looking forward to this farm/corn maze. We unfortunately arrived late after a long day of traveling. We got there right around 4 and the farm closes at 6. I was worried I'd get lost in the corn maze, so Shane took a photo of the outline of the maze and ended up leading us out of it in only 10 min. I was a little sad that it didn't last longer, but it was super cute. Unfortunately, the apple cider doughnut shop they have closed at 4, so we left right after the corn maze & went to our hotel.

Church Landing @ Mill FallsÂ
Â
This hotel came highly recommended & is right on Lake Winnipesaukee. After staying at The Omni, this one just didn't compare. It was very rugged and outdoorsy which is definitely NOT my vibe. It had a stunning view, but overall felt dirty. I'd give it a 4/10 - the price did not match the room.
Day 4

Moulton Farm Take 2
We went back to the farm to get a cup of hot apple cider & an apple cider doughnut & both were delish!Â
There ended up being a food truck serving breakfast (only available on Sundays) & we both got huge meals for super cheap. We ate outside at a picnic table with the most perfect weather. Sooo worth going back! 10/10

Cambridge
We drove from Meredith, NH to Cambridge, MA for our final destination. We toured Harvard, walked around the city where they were having multiple street festivals, and did a little shopping.Â
We stayed at The Charles hotel right in the middle of everything & our room was amazing- 10/10! Â We had lunch at the hotel bar/restaurant & the people were so friendly. The city felt safe & it was probably one of my favorite places of the entire trip.

Dinner
We ended the night with dinner at a restaurant in Boston called Buttermilk & Bourbon. I am not a seafood person, so I opted for something more southern. The vibe of the restaurant was super cool, but I wouldn't call it a nice date night dinner spot. It would have been better for drinks and small bites. The food was delish, but not really at true dinner meal 7/10.
And that was our entire trip! We left early on day 5 and flew out of Boston airport. I want to note that the staff at The Charles Hotel was incredibly sweet and even brought us fresh coffee along with our car when we were checking out that morning. We had a blast, but next year we will most likely do Connecticut & Vermont to compare. All of my outfits (including those that didn't make the newsletter) are in my LTK.Â

Shane's Outfits
Shane put in a lot of work to have good outfits for our trip as well. He took tons of photos and linked all of his looks on his own socials. If you are looking for outfit inspo for your man or your man needs a guy account to follow, check his page out.
